Definitely my go to chicken noodle soup recipe. We have had the flu going around our house and it’s a lifesaver!

Hi, love this recipe! I was asked to make it for an event and will need to double it – any advice for doubling? I know often not every ingredient or cooking time should necessarily be doubled, so wanted to get your advice!

This recipe quickly became a recurring favorite in my house. So fresh and delicious. I do like to add extra veggies I may have in my fridge/freezer, like zucchini or peas. One note, if you do that add more veg then a bit of water or more broth. I also suggest adding the lemon juice slowly, to taste. The dill is amazing! I like to serve with rosemary sourdough bread. Just what the doctor ordered! Best chicken noodle soup I’ve had.

Thawed some boneless Chicken last night to grill out. But changed my mind for supper at last moment. What to do with the 3 chicken breasts the next day..? Chicken noodle soup. No broth, no need it turned out cause I boiled the chicken , made my own broth. Big chunks of Carrot, Onion, Celery, with all the spices you suggested. Never thought to add lemon and dill to this soup. Really made a taste difference. Tossed in some Peas at the moment before serving. House smells wonderful and it’s raining outside. But who cares. Great Soup. Netflix and it’s a put your feet up end to the day.

Delicious chicken soup. The only changes I made were adding more carrot, celery and onion and broth. I also added a pinch of cayenne pepper since we’re all sick. Definitely making this again!!

Flavor was DELICIOUS, going forward I’ll reduce the amount of Dill and Parsley to 2 teaspoons instead of Tablespoons.

Every time I have to feed a large group (usually when we go skiing) I make this soup.  I increase the garlic, lemon juice and dill because my family likes extra flavor.  Everyone loves it.   I’m making it today just to have on hand this weekend.  It’s the first soup I make when kids get sick. Thank you for sharing the lemon and dill ideas! I love them. 

My kids and I got the flu recently and were craving a warm, delicious chicken noodle soup. This was so easy to make and was so delicious! The dill and lemon really make the difference here – adds so much depth of flavor. I used less noodles and more carrots and celery, and roasted a few chicken breasts separately to add to it. This was SO good, will definitely be making this again!
